Doga-ma.
Due to my immediate family’s preferences for the docile and less committal felis domesticus, I have yet to own an actual pet dog, though I’m moderately prepared for the eventual responsibility with both his/her name picked out (John Locke, regardless of gender) and sleeping arrangements confirmed (my bed). While friends, family, and acquaintances sing a range of conflicting tunes when it comes to the degree of inflexible life-alterations that will necessitate unwanted compromise, I am confident that the amount of love and affection showered on J.L. will surpass any inconveniences to come.
