On Grief

Different Stages.

Loss can be sudden and unexpected, blindsiding us from the least anticipated directions.  Or it can be long and drawn out, during which we may or may not find ourselves facing head on the emotions affiliated with acceptance and grief.  Either way, this roller coaster leads us to steady and turbulent moments of hope and sadness, inspiration and despair, and a strength we never would have otherwise known is possible.  Enjoy!

  1. I have gone through some serious loss in my lifetime and I too have taken solice from the resilience of nature. Nature is so pure, non negotiable, like loss. But it is never quite enough to blunt the pain. Death intrudes from time to time, that's just the way life is. Breaking the glass under a chuppah is not, as erroneously thought,to be a cause for cheer. It is a reminder that great sorrow can temper joy at any time.
    Man plans, and God laughs.
