Turns out it's not just wanting what we can't have that keeps up vying for more but, additionally, wanting what we don't expect. Being blind-sided by romantic interest does as much for our brain as for our hearts, and so perhaps a semi-fool-proof strategy to finding and sustaining "the one" is to distract by all things predictable.
