On (Making) New Friends

The Unknown.

New friendships can be just as precarious and unpredictable as new beaus, as uncharted details are exchanged over sweet potato fries and gin and tonics at local eateries and poorly-lit dive bars. Devotions and deceit of friendships past are evaluated with both suspicion and familiarity, while commonalities surface at varying speeds and lifelong companions potentially initiated.  Until texts messages and email exchanges do (or do not) take the relationship to the next level, ties are created or foregone with varying levels of emotion and relief.  Enjoy!
