On a
recent Thanksgiving hike in the Rocky Mountains with my NYC-based family, we
were all challenged in different ways. From
tapping into unknown physical capabilities (amidst 8000 foot altitude) to being completed isolated from the
outside world (no cell phones, ipads, or facebook), we agreed unanimously that this was one of the highlights of the
visit. And as we braved the unknown
terrain and admired passerby(s) struggling through their own internal
commitments (most frequently on mountain bikes), we made tacit plans for our next adventurous endeavor (circa summer 2013). Enjoy!
